SBSTTA-27 Side Event: Enhancing the Role of Knowledge Holders in the UN CBD

Offering examples of various capacity-building initiatives, the side event aimed to showcase different perspectives and projects for improving the integration of knowledge into the policy-making process in the context of the UN CBD. The event gathered experiences on the mobilisation of indigenous knowledge into UN CBD processes as well as perspectives from developing countries such as Armenia. It also drew on the experience of the emerging TSC Sub-regional Centres from Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. 

This event was jointly organised by partners from CO-OP4CBD and Biodiversa+.
