Toward nature-positive finance: a EU Green Week 2026 workshop
On 10 June 2026, CO-OP4CBD, in collaboration with Biodiversa+, RESPIN, Banque de France, the BiodivRestore Knowledge Hub and the French Foundation for Biodiversity Research (FRB), organised the workshop “Toward Nature-Positive Finance: Scientific Foundations for Action”.
Hosted by Banque de France, this event was organised as part of EU Green Week 2026, one of Europe’s leading forums for dialogue between science, policy and society. Researchers, policymakers, financial institutions and business representatives convened in Paris, France, to discuss the connections between scientific knowledge, financial decision-making and policy processes as part of the efforts towards advancing global biodiversity goals.
The event’s agenda included sessions on the IPBES assessments, traditional ecological knowledge (TEK), harmful incentives, environmental accounting, nature credits, the EU Nature Restoration Regulation and the upcoming COP17.
One of these sessions, “On the road to COP17: Presentation and discussion of a Business & Biodiversity brief developed with CO-OP4CBD to support EU and Member State negotiators”, was moderated by Nathalie Morata (FRB), CO-OP4CBD coordinator.
