Save the date: Upcoming regional training session for CEE countries' experts and national focal points to take place on 18-19 March

As part of the stakeholder engagement actions of CO-OP4CBD, a new Regional Training session for Central and Eastern European Countries’ National Focal Points and experts will take place on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th of March 2024 at the Jardin des Plantes, Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, in Paris.

The NFP and expert training is organised by project partners from the French Museum for Natural History, and it would aim to contribute to expert capacity building and promotion of biodiversity knowledge.

In addition to a review of the history of the Convention for biological diversity and an examination of the its mechanisms and processes, the training session will focus on:

  • Biodiversity and the specific role of the Central and Eastern European countries in the CBD process;
  • The science-policy interface and the role of experts in a multilateral agreement process.

During the training session, participants will benefit from feedback from negotiators and experts who have taken part in CBD negotiations.
