CO-OP4CBD consortium partner Alternet organises the 2025 Annual Alternet Conference in Aveiro, Portugal, between 13-16 May. Hosted by the Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies of the University of Aveiro, the event’s theme is “Achieving Transformative Change for Biodiversity”. The upcoming conference promises to provide a platform for stakeholders, experts and professionals in both research and policy-making, facilitating a dialogue on science-based natural conservation and restoration.

The four-day programme will also feature a variety of open sessions dedicated to specific aspects of transformative change in biodiversity research, policy and practice. Abstracts, oral presentations, posters and other contributions for those showcases are currently being accepted for submission, with the submission deadline being 28 February.
