CO-OP4CBD launches registration for a UN CBD expert database
The consolidation of relevant expertise is a central objective of CO-OP4CBD as it seeks to enhance the coordination of implementing the Convention on Biological Diversity (UN CBD) across the EU. To that end, the project is now inviting specialists, researchers, practitioners and other stakeholders from EU Member States and Associated Countries to join a dedicated database bringing together knowledge and experience related to this multilateral agreement and its Subsidiary Bodies.
At its core, this diverse and inclusive database is meant to:
-
facilitate expert mobilisation across UN CBD processes
-
strengthen technical and scientific cooperation
-
contribute to broader science-policy initiatives
Members of this group will be able to contribute to UN CBD-related dialogues, policy consultations, capacity-building workshops and other collaborative research and advisory activities. The database thus offers a variety of opportunities for visibility, networking and direct input into an international biodiversity process, all while contributing to more effective and balanced engagement in the discussions and procedures associated with the Convention.
All experts from EU Member States and Associated Countries who are actively involved in UN CBD processes, biodiversity science, policy and implementation or simply interested in contributing their knowledge and experience in these contexts are invited to register via this form.
