05 Jan 2024

CO-OP4CBD kicks off 2024 with a capacity-building workshop for experts and negotiations from Hungary, Romania and Poland, organised by project partners Centre for Ecological Research. The event will take place in the Ministry of Agriculture in Budapest on 15-16 January 2024.

The workshop's main goal is to introduce CBD history, mechanisms, processes and challenges, to enhance Central and Eastern European expertise and participation in CBD processes. Two other CO-OP4CBD partners - Dr. Hendrik Segers from the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences and Dr. Joachim Paul Töpper from the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research - will also participate in the event in the capacity of speakers, while Pierre Spielewoy from the National Museum of Natural History will introduce T4.3 and the plans for CEE countries.

The programme for the event is available here. The workshop is the first of a series of CO-OP4CBD-organised events that are coming up in 2024.
